What is a console homepage?


Your Tendenci console homepage is the page that you and your site users access when they log iinto your Web site.  This page houses links to the different modules of your Web site and enable your users to easily add and revise their information and content.

As a site admin, you can control the look of this greeting page to meet the specific needs of your organization.  For instance, you may want to emphasize a particular Tendenci module (like calendar events) or you might want to encourage a particular action (like users updating their own contact information)

To date, there are currently over 20  different design options.  These options vary by what icons and links you want included on your console page.  (scroll down to see some of your options below)

How do I change my console homepage design?

If you want to customize the way your console page looks a custom Tendenci user home page (we call them /en/users/homepages/) may be the way to go for you.
 
The home page that the user sees upon logging in is controlled by the "UsersDefaultTendenciHomePage" variable in siteXML. Ask your webmaster or contact us for questions on editing this variable.

To change the custom user home page that appears on your site visit this Help file for instructions.  NOTE:  You must be an admin to make this change!
 

What do custom Tendenci console homepage designs look like?

    Can we customize which module icons are on our Users tendenci homepage? I would like to remove RSS and Memberships. Also, is it possible to implement membership_short whithout having all those links underneath each icon?

    Is there a way to access and utilize older versions of the Tendenci console home page that are not listed here?
